Dream Alliance is an unlikely racehorse bred by small-town bartender Jan Vokes that rises through the ranks and becomes a beacon of hope for their struggling community. This tear-jerking feel-good film is bound to pull on your heartstrings , with its promising true story of Dream Alliance, the unlikely racehorse who goes on to race and ultimately win the Welsh Grand National after a significant number of trials and tribulations.
Jan Vokes, a woman going through her everyday repetitious routine of working at a grocery store and pub decides to invest in a horse with the help of her neighbours, convincing them to chip in their meagre earnings to help raise Dream. Their investments pay off well in the end, however it takes a lot to get there.
This film depicts the hardships of chasing your dreams, although leaves you with the sense of wanting to do something with life, its inspiring and motivational. The best part about the movie is the support of the community when it comes to raising Dream. It’s that when dream wins, everyone wins. It’s the feeling of pride and happiness that the community can share. This film is a must watch if you’re looking for heart-felt motivation.
