JUGJUGG JEEYO is about two couples caught in extraordinary situations. Kuku [Varun Dhawan] and Naina [Kiara Advani] are childhood sweethearts. They get married, Kuku’s family – father Bheem [Anil Kapoor], mother Geeta [Neetu Kapoor] and sister Ginni [Prajakta Koli] – are in a celebratory mood as well.

Five years later, Kuku and Naina – who have relocated to Toronto, Canada – are on the verge of separation. They fly to India for Ginni’s wedding and decide to inform the family of their plans [of divorce], after the marriage celebrations conclude.

The story takes a dramatic turn when Kuku learns of his father’s plans of divorcing his mother, soon after Ginni’s wedding. What happens next?

Performance wise Varun Dhawan really excels in his role and shows us how he has grown as an actor. The actor gives us a variety of emotions from anger to frustration to some goofy comedy moments. Kiara Advani aces her emotional and dramatic scenes and both her Varun make a lovely couple. Anil Kapoor is superbin the role he plays, who switches from vulnerable to emotional to his full- on comical interludes. Neetu Singh gives him able support and is superb in her role. Maniesh Paul brings the house down with his comic timing.

Director Raj Mehta gives us the best family film of 2022 so far.The film is smartly written, has fabulous comedy, heart felt emotions and drama that will resonate with the whole family. To top it all he has gotten excellent performances from all his cast and a peppy sound track to boot.Put everything down and go and watch this family drama that will make you laugh, cry and help you appreciate relationships. A sure-fire blockbuster.
