Argylle Fim Review

Argylle is the new spy action comedy film directed and produced by Matthew Vaughan, and written by Jason Fuchs. Can the fabulous ensemble cast and brilliant director strike a hit at the box office? The omens look promising

Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World franchise) is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which centre on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past. Accompanied by Aiden (Oscar® winner Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur…Direction wise the talented mind of Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman franchise, Kick-Ass) comes Argylle, a razor-witted, reality-bending, globe-encircling spy thriller. Get ready to laugh-out-loud and be on-the-edge-of-your-seat what unfolds on the screen. The director has successfully re-invented the spy film and given us a fresh unique twist on it. Get ready to be awed once again by the genius that is Matthew Vaughan.

Performance wise Bryce Dallas Howard was fabulous as the cat-loving anxiety-ridden Elly while Sam Rockwell succeeded as no B.S. agent Aiden. The smoothe, suave dashing Henry Cavill as the fictional Agent Argylle, was brilliant and shows the 007 producers why he will be the best 007 candidate. John Cena as the reliable Wyatt, Dua Lipa as the villainous LaGrange, Ariana DeBose as Keira, and Samuel L. Jackson as Alfred Solomon also shone in the film Elly’s cat Alfie, played by real-life cat Chip, was also such a delight to witness even though he was just sitting there purring most of the time.

Put everything down and go and watch this fabulous film that gives us a globe- trotting that re-invents the spy game. Do go and watch this film.
